Three high school seniors witnessed a stroke in a language teacher during class. They notified the Department head who had to plead to have the patient come to the nurse's station. They called 911. The patient was transported to Alber Einstein ED where he received tPA, left with minimal deficit after 3 days and returned to work in 3 weeks.
The students and faculty received a citation from the city and were honored on TV two days in a row. Of course, Stroke Alert graphics played a prominent role in dressing things up.
